socks success

9.12.2010

remember i was learning to knit socks back in june well i did manage to complete a single sock in size 7 (shown in last pic; a half size big for my foot). since i didn't have enough yarns to make a second sock or a pair, i used the remaining yarns and knitted a pair of baby socks instead for a close friend of mine who's having a baby soon. unlike knitting on dpn (double point needles) for regular socks, the baby socks were knitted on just two needles and it was from an easy to follow pattern by debbie bliss in baby knits for beginners. for a moment i kind of forgot about the instructions on socks knitting after not touching it for months but was able to pick it back up again as i go forward. wow, i didn't know knitting socks can be addicting, once i got started on my first socks, it was hard to stop knitting. definitely i'd like to knit more socks (basic ones for now); still need a bit more practice as i haven't perfected it yet (referring to regular socks knitting using dpn).
