almond biscotti

...............................dipped in semi-sweet chocolate...........................

this week's baking is biscotti. biscotti are twice-baked cookies and they are perfect when pairing with coffee. i used this recipe from saveur and to my surprise; they turned out looking and tasting as good as the store-bought ones but better. this is definitely a keeper's recipe and i will make it again.
.: i omitted the anise seeds, added almond extract & lemon zest, and dipped them with chocolate.

They look absolutely wonderfully perfect!!! I wish I could bake. I need to get an oven first, though. ;-)
