a little late on sharing this diy calendar i made for twenty fourteen. it's a simple black and white calendar i designed/created using heavy cardboards, black construction papers, free printable 2014 calendar, a few hole-punches/closures, and applied to it my own penmanship of the twenty fourteen letterings in ribbon style. happy april/spring!

my logo

here's the logo i designed months ago for petit paperie, my etsy shop. i ordered my custom stamp from simon's stamps and must admit they did a wonderful job on it and also provided great service. i will definitely go back to them for custom rubber stamps. you can find my logo stamp on the back of my cards.

2012

we're half way in the 2012 mark and july is vanishing before my eyes. above is the 2012 cover i drew in  ribbon style font for my 2012 calendar in late 2011 but decided not to use it since it didn't match my 2012 calendar concept. while we're still in 2012, this is just a reminder to enjoy the rest of the remaining months of 2012.

gocco inks for my latest card designs project. currently, i'm working on designing my petit paperie logo and getting it made into a stamp afterwards i'll be working on my card designs. i've already thought of my card designs, theme, logo, and packaging design. so many things are going on inside of my head that i don't even know where to begin but i am very excited about launching notecards for my shop. just can't wait to share with you all my new work.

gocco process

hi, i'm back and so excited to share with you all what i've been working slowly on for the past weeks/months and it's completely done just in time for fall. i had some challenging moments with inking some of my hand drawn designs using a black pen (in order for them to be transferred to silkscreens) which delayed the process of gocco printing. in the meantime, enjoy these photos as i will post more pictures of my 2012 calendar and hope you like what you're seeing.

2011 calendar in the works

hi all! i've been busy working  hard on my 2011 calendar. i know i'm very late for this as 2011 is near but  am making it happen although i only have one month to get everything ready. i spend the first half of november designing and doing illustrations for my calendar and right now, i'm in the midst of printing them on gocco. more details to follow on how to purchase my 2011 calendar and they will become available on november 29th or 30th just in time for the holiday shopping. i'm super excited!

watch design submission

just for fun, i submitted my watch design to tokyoflash design challenge in august. i found out about their design challenge from an email newsletter which i'm a subscriber to. normally, i don't enter myself in this kind of contest but it was worth a try and also for good practicing design skills. speaking of my watch design, i was inspired by boardwalk games as a youth and that's how the concept came to mind. it is a simple and straight forward design; as the minutes go by, the pathway lights up as it inches its way from the start to the finish line based on the 60 minute trail. ahhh, those boardwalk games time (monopoly is my favorite) bring back memories of joy!
